Ryan Pando

I am a senior at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida. I am an account manager for the pre- professional group, Dow Advantage Public Relations Group and am a member of the Alpha Chi Honor Society and Phi Omnicron Communication Honor Society.

My interest in International Communication stems from my experiences studying abroad. It opened my eyes to a whole new world of culture, thought and scenery separate from what we experience in America. A quote by author G.K. Chesterton summarizes this sentiment well, “The whole object of travel is not to set foot on foreign land; it is at last to set foot on one’s own country as a foreign land.”

After I graduate I plan on pursuing a marketing job for students studying in Barcelona, and hope to better understand the culture and political atmosphere there.

Through this blog I intend to explore the issues of immigration in Barcelona, Spain and the effects on the citizens.
